Denver International Airport (DEN) in Colorado, US is the fifth busiest airport in the country and the 20th busiest airport in the world. Located approximately 23 miles northeast of downtown Denver, the airport is spread across 34,000 acres of land.

Denver Airport has a single terminal building, the Jeppesen Terminal, separated into East and West Terminals. Separate divisions have been made in order to make the directions of flight easier. Denver Airport also has three airside concourses: A, B, and C. There is an underground train system that connects all three concourses. However, Concourse B and C are only accessible via train.

Concourses at Denver International Airport

  • Concourse A- It has 38 gates and handles domestic and international flights. One can arrive at Concourse A through an underground train system or via a pedestrian bridge from the main terminal building.
  • Concourse B- It has 68 gates and only occupies United Airlines. To reach Concourse B, one must take the train.
  • Concourse C- It has 27 gates and the primary airline at Concourse C is Southwest Airlines.

Jeppesen Terminal - Denver Airport

Gates B and C are accessible from Jeppesen Terminal only via the Train to the Gates. Jeppesen Terminal has 6 levels which are described as following:

  • Jeppesen Terminal - Levels 1 to 3

    Available on both sides of the terminal, it is on the lowest floors of the parking garages and the economy lots.

  • Jeppesen Terminal - Level 4

    Passenger pickup is available at level 4 along with short-term and long-term parking.

  • Jeppesen Terminal - Level 5

    This level is mainly dedicated to Domestic and International Arrivals. Therefore, it contains security checkpoints and baggage claim counters. A car parking facility, shuttle service, and car rental pick-ups/drop-offs are also available on this floor.

  • Jeppesen Terminal - Level 6

    The sixth floor is for passenger drop-off, Departures, and check-in facipties. From here, travelers can get access to gate areas.
